Hello Tiger Family,

We are very thankful to all of our families for making the start to our school year so successful.  By helping follow guidelines and keeping students home for even the most mild of illness symptoms, we have all worked to make our school as safe as possible.

This afternoon, we learned that one of our elementary teachers tested positive for Covid-19.  This teacher left school early on Monday with mild symptoms of illness.  As a precautionary measure, and following CDPHE guidelines, all students from that cohort have been notified and have been asked to quarantine for the next 14 days.

In addition, we had a high school student test positive for Covid-19.  This high school student has not attended school this week, and we are working with public health to contact trace any close contact within the student body which might have happened over the weekend.  As of now, based on the contact tracing guidelines, we do not believe any other students were involved.

In part due to staffing issues for the remainder of the week, and also in part due to a feeling we need to be over-cautious at this time, will be switching to virtual learning for Wednesday and Thursday of this week.  Please be healthy, safe, and enjoy your Thanksgiving break.

Julie Sauvigne, our Registered Nurse, will continue to monitor the school community over the Thanksgiving break, so please continue to check and monitor your child for symptoms, and report those to Julie.  Her email address is jsauvigne@urtigers.co, and her number is 719-657-3088.
