**NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF ELECTIONS for BOARD of DIRECTORS and CERTIFIED STATEMENT OF RESULTS FOR THE UPPER RIO GRANDE SCHOOL DISTRICT C-7**

**NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 1-5-208(1.5), that, authorizes the Board of Education by resolution to cancel the election and declare the candidates elected if, at the close of business on September 1, 2023, there are not more candidates than offices to be filled at the election, including candidates filing affidavits of intent to be write-in candidates.** 

**At the close of business on September 1, 2023, there were not more candidates than offices to be filled, including candidates filing affidavits of intent to be write-in candidates, for each of the (3) seats for the Upper Rio Grande School District Board of Directors.  Therefore, The Board of Education determined the prerequisites for canceling the election had been met and by unanimous vote canceled the election.**

**The following candidates are hereby declared elected for four-year terms by acclamation: Keith Brown, David Cobb, and Nellianna Edelen.  Following November 7, 2023, the Board will hold a meeting to administer the oath of office to the Directors.**
