Frequently Asked Questions
Q - Do parents of elementary students have to quarantine along with their children?
A - No, unless your child shows symptoms, or anyone in the family shows symptoms or tests positive. Parents, in this case, are considered secondary contacts and do not have to quarantine unless the child tests positive or shows symptoms. As always, good practice is to quarantine if you show symptoms, and get tested if those symptoms are severe in any way.
Q - Why didn't our new filtration system work?
A - The new filtration system, which provides the highest levels of filtration (Merv13) available outside of HEPA, along with the Dry Hydrogen Peroxide virus killing additions, is not designed to stop all Covid infections. It is designed to drastically stem the possible spread of virus after it enters the building. When the 10 day quarantine period is over, we will know how well it may have worked, based on the number of new cases we have, or don't have. There is no intervention that will completely stop a virus that has made its way all around the world. The very best we can do is take as many precautions as possible. In a building that houses 500 or more community members, everyday, we believe we have done pretty well at keeping people safe.
